Cong Ty Che Tao Dong Co (VINAPPRO) is a state-owned business enterprise under Vietnam Engine & Agricultural Machine Corporation or VEAM, established on March 20, 1968 as Viet Nam Ky Nghe Dong Co Cong Ty or Vietnam Power Products Manufacturing Co. Its first main function was the assembly of S.K.D. parts from Yanmar - Japan into diesel engines.

After the reunification of the country, the source of supply of spare parts from Japan was interrupted, Vinappro had to produce by itself the machines for agricultural home use as well as for export. New workshops such as foundry shops, rubber roll shops were added and during this period, the main products were rice milling machines, rubber rollers, water pumps and spare parts for diesel engines.

From the existing machinery and equipment and manufacturing process from Japan, the engineers have achieved the production of the engines 6HP bearing "Vinappro" brand for the first time.
Through the years, Vinappro has become one of the leading suppliers of agricultural machines in the Vietnamese market. The range of products has been diversified day by day, including :
 Diesel engines ranging from 6HP to 30HP, among which there are several models designed according to new standards such as TF60, TF120, TF160, etc.

• Rice milling plants from 2 to 40 tons per shift
• Rubber rolls for rice hullers
• Generator sets single-phase or three-phase from 1 to 500KVA
• Combine harvesters, paddy reapers.
• Deep suction and force pumps, water pumps for industrial crops, irrigation pumps, liner slurry pumps, fire pumps...
• Spare parts for agricultural machines

The annual turnover of the company has always increased by 7-10% per year, especially in the year 2002 the turnover reached 120 billion dong in which more than 5 million US dollars were brought by export.

A network of sales agents has been established throughout the country (52 in total). The company's products have been present in foreign countries such as : the Middle East, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Panama, Ghana, Cambodia, Korea, India, Sri Lanka...

Regarding the quality control, in February 2004, Vinappro was granted the Certificate of Quality Management System in conformity  IS09001:2000 by the organisation DNV (Norway).

Owing to these achievements, the company has been granted by the government:

• Labor Order 3rd Class in 1980
• Labor Order 3rd Class in 1981
• Labor Order 2nd Class in 2000
• Governmental Medal in 1997, 1999, 2000

Furthermore, the company's products have also been granted medals, compliments by the Ministry and the Trade Fair Organisation Committee during the Trade Show in Vietnam as well as in foreign countries.
